Doty’s Table Rock crappie report, April 7Posted by Phil Lilley on April 8th, 2014
Got on the water today about 8 a.m. with my buddy Ryan. Temperature was 42 degrees and raining. We started checking brush piles and the 1st one we pulled up to had fish on it. Caught a couple of keepers and a bunch of shorts all on jigs then it just shut off. It was like that all morning. We would hit a brush pile and catch a couple of keepers right off the bat then a few shorts and then nothing. We kept hopping brush piles all morning and even threw at the bank some picking up a few keepers. Most fish seamed to be suspended 6-10 feet deep around the MDC brush piles with a few randomly caught in 2-4 feet of water on the bank. We ended up with 2 limits by 1 pm. Things are really looking like they will be shaping up good for this weekend! A Little Rain Won’t Hurt Them Fish…..They’re Already Wet!!
