It is only two miles from the dam at Norfork Lake to the White River, but this short stretch packs quite a punch! Its waters are the place of fishermen’s dreams, sporting all four species of trout—rainbow, brown, brook and cutthroat. I felt pretty confident that I could handle the cold weather but I was concerned about my client, a first time fly fisher. I arrived a few minutes early and Scott was a bit reluctant to jump into the weather. He invited me into his cabin for a cup of coffee. We chatted for a few minutes and waited for the sun to get a bit higher in the sky. About the time it had warmed up to around thirty two, he was ready to start. read more… |
