Big Sugar Creek can be very challenging and dangerous.  Downed trees on a rapid run or around a blind curve pose the biggest threat.  Talk to locals or outfitters to find out if runs are safe.  Always call ahead to setup shuttle or parking.

One public access (PA) on Big Sugar is called Deep Ford.  You cannot camp or park over night there.  You can float from Deep Ford (PA) to Mt Shira (PA) about 11 miles.  You will also need a Missouri fishing license and know the regulations if you plan to keep fish.  If you plan on catch and release, please pinch your barb or use barbless hooks.
