Got out to the Oakland Ramp with a buddy around 9:00 AM.  We fished some areas that I’d been fishing and then ran to some of my friends spots.  The bite was pretty good, and we landed 16 bass (8 Smallmouth, 6 Largemouth, 1 Spot, and 1 Meanmouth) and had 13 keepers.

We caught a couple of Smallmouth and several Largemouth in the 3 lb. range.  We caught the majority of our fish on jerkbaits and football jigs around channel swing banks.  I only got one on the Rock Crawler, but didn’t spend much time fishing it.  First time this year that I’ve had a decent jerkbait bite. My buddy had big Smallmouth for the day at 18 5/8″, but I botched the picture of it, because apparently, I’m a moron.  Also, the Largemouth in the first pic has more black blotches and the darkest black tail that I’ve ever seen.  That bass also had a big tumor on the side of it’s head.
