Col Ron’s Bull Shoals fishing report, August 9
Posted by Col. Ron Janota on August 9th, 2012

Today, I had a father and son out (11 years old) and managed to bring in 28 walleye!!! Many shorts, but got their limit in 5 hours. Fished with crawlers and spinners, willow blades in only 24 feet, which produced the best fish. Yokum Bend to the Pt. 22 were very active. Trolling just fast enough to keep the blades going was also the key. .6 or .7 was just right. Dead calm water but the fish were very hungry biting like bass instead of the walleye slow pull. Pumped up the worms and hugged the bottom. Still good fishing out there.
